1. Why did you sign up to the F45 Challenge?
I was motivated by my wife winning the local F45 challenge and the changes it made to her life and our family as a whole. I was obese and had to hold my breath when bending down to tie my work boots because my stomach was so big I couldn’t breath while bent over. It was an eye opener for me and a sign that I needed to do something to improve my health.
2. What kept you motivated throughout the 8 weeks?
Hard work. I started hard with training and diet. Due to the work, I had done I didn’t want to slip backwards and ruin the gains I had made.
3. What advice would you give to the next Challenger?
Take it 2 weeks at a time. Stick to your diet plan as this is the most important part of weight loss and get to every training session you can fit into your lifestyle.
4. What was your favourite thing about the F45 Challenge?
Results. I felt fitter within 2 weeks and saw noticeable results by mid-challenge to my body. My family could see changes in my energy levels and motivation early on as well. My life got better….best result ever.
5. What part about the Challenge did you find most challenging and how did you push through it?
I have a sweet tooth and I suspect a sugar addiction. I struggled at times with wanting sweets, tried some sugar-free treats but found they hindered my progress so had to push on without it. Birthday parties and fathers day were also a challenge where I slipped and had a cheat meal or two. Just got to put those behind you and get back into your training/diet, keep the workup, don’t let a slip upstart a big slide.
